San Rafael, CA
It happened as quick as a Caribbean squall.....she's sold. The new owners Jon & Sara having been cruising and sailing aboard a Catalina 36 and felt they needed something more robust before crossing the Pacific.
So it is with a sense of relief and heavy emotion that I parted company with Christa yesterday. She will be hauled out of the water and trucked up to Bellingham Washington where the new owners plan on cruising the San Juans for the winter. Then they will head south.

My last time aboard |

I think I'm still a bit in shock that I don't own Christa anymore. Need time to process. I will reiterate that my sailing days are not necessarily over. I think at some point in my life I will return to the sailing life. I'm still a relatively young person and continue to improve my health. Plenty of time.
Meanwhile, this blog was created specifically for sailing but will continue to evolve as my many interest in this world evolve. Please stay on!
Kindly,
Capt Chris (ret)
